Josh Green is the Founder, President and Chief Investment Officer of Raven with 25 years of investment experience. Mr. Green specializes in the direct origination of investment opportunities, transaction structuring and oversight of portfolio investments. He is also responsible for the strategic and cultural direction of Raven.
Prior to founding Raven in 2008, Mr. Green was a Managing Director with Merrill Lynch in New York. Mr. Green started his career in Merrill Lynch Trust Company in 1993, and held various roles in the firm’s fixed-income division in both New York and London. In 1998, Mr. Green pioneered an asset-based principal finance investment strategy for the firm, and ultimately founded Merrill Lynch’s Alternative Assets Group. For nearly 10 years, Mr. Green and his team invested a $12 billion portfolio, executing principal transactions across multiple asset types, including transportation, receivables/intellectual property, specialty finance, commercial real estate and infrastructure in both public and private capital markets. Mr. Green received a BA from Lafayette College, Phi Beta Kappa, and a JD from Vanderbilt University Law School. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of Vanderbilt University Law School.
